A Very Warm Welcome!
Benoni Therapy & Assessment Centre
We are so glad you are here. Having the awareness that you need change, that you can’t quite bear things as they are, is a sign of health, not illness.
It helps immensely to have another’s kindly, curious mind help us explore our own.
As humans, we need the kind of powerful, sincere reassurance that is only available when we dare to reveal to another person who we truly are.
Making the decision to seek psychological help is one of the most difficult and courageous decisions one can make.
We understand that the task of finding the “right” psychologist can be daunting, especially when already feeling vulnerable and uncertain.
Research has shown, time and time again, that the single most important factor in therapeutic progress is the quality of the relationship between the client and the therapist.
With this in mind, finding a “good fit” is crucial.

“Isn’t it odd – we can only see our outsides, but nearly everything happens on the inside…” said the Mole.
The time will come
when, with elation
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror
and each will smile at the other’s welcome,
and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you
all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.

Qualifications: BSocSci Psych (Cum Laude), BSocSci Psych Hons (Cum Laude), MSocSci Couns. Psych (Cum Laude) – University of Fort Hare
As a Counselling Psychologist, I am incredibly honoured to hold space for individuals on their journey of healing and self-discovery and to be entrusted with individuals’ innermost experiences and vulnerabilities. I am deeply passionate about the work that I do, and I am grateful for the opportunity to witness the transformation and growth that can occur within the therapeutic relationship. My therapeutic style is relaxed but intentional — grounded in authentic connection, compassion, curiosity, and psychological theory. Rooted in brain-based and neurobiological principles, I believe that healing happens through safe, attuned relationships. My integrative approach draws on modalities such as polyvagal theory, narrative therapy, CBT, gestalt, play therapy, and psychodynamic work. I support clients facing a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, stress, and relational issues.
